While the rest of the school busied itself with testing, the Senior Class sat for its panoramic portrait Friday morning, striking their poses in the home bleachers at Judson Taylor Field.

Seniors gathered in the home-side bleachers for the panoramic picture.

Linda Kingston, director of activities at Logan, said the event went well. "There seemed to be more seniors there this year," she said.

Senior Candace Nguyen said the process took about a half hour. Students were warned not to make any gestures, such as gang signs for the picture. A group of boys wearing similar shirts emblazoned with a logo were told to reverse their shirts to obscure it.

She said three pictures were taken, one "normal" one and two "fun" pictures.

Eileen Nicosia, Kingston's assistant, said it will take about a month for the pictures, produced by Lifetouch, to be available for students to pick up. First, proof prints of the panoramic shot will be examined to make sure no inappropriate gestures or anything else offensive is visible in it. Such things, if found, will be obscured by retouching.

Seniors have until Friday to purchase a picture, which cost $20 for the laminated version and $32 framed.

What a fun tradition! Having a senior class picture seems like a great technique for creating valuable memorabilia that students will enjoy for years to come.
