LUNCH
Featured entrée selections include Pasta, Pizza, Chinese Dishes, Burgers, Spicy Chicken Patty & various Deli items. Lunches include a variety of fruits, veggies and milk.

MISCELLANEOUS
Students looking for some extra community service hours, see Mrs. Hart in the Career Center. She is recruiting for Logan teachers in need of after school help.

Juniors & Seniors: If you have not yet signed up to attend a college presentation coming to our campus, stop by the Career Center and get on the list.

All classes, come out to Colt Court to nominate your Homecoming Court on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Volunteers are needed for the 2008 Paddy Palooza Festival! What is it, you ask? Paddy Palooza is a festival for teens featuring live bands, guitar competitions, art displays and more. Pick up a flyer in the Career Center. The festival is this coming Saturday.

If you are interested in participating in the November 4th election process and earn community service hours, then pick up a flyer in the Career Center.

Juniors and Seniors, various public and private universities will be visiting Logan over the next 2 months. To see who is coming, and to be part of these presentations, sign up in the Career Center. The list is ever-changing, so be sure to check weekly.

Looking for a place to study, work on projects with other students, use a computer, and get tutoring from your fellow students in most subjects before or after school? Look no further than Room 77. This before school program will operate every morning, Monday – Friday, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. And Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., plus Saturdays 8:30 – 12:30. Don’t let your grades get you down. Make the right choice!

Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors: PSAT and PACT tickets are on sale during both lunches in the Career Center. Tickets cost $22 each.

ACTIVITY
Spirit week starts Monday, 10/13/08. Don’t forget to dress up! Monday’s days are: Freshmen – Twin Day. Sophomores – Pirate Day. Juniors – Jungle Day. Seniors – Senior Troop Day. Come to Colt Court and collect your spirit points!

Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, October 18, 8 – 11 p.m. Guest passes are now available in Room 67, and are due by Tuesday, October 14th. Pre-sale tickets will be sold for $10, $8 with ASB, beginning on Monday, October 13, in Colt Court. You must have your school I.D. to purchase your ticket and to enter the dance.

There will be a mandatory boys’ basketball meeting on Wednesday, 10/15/2008 at 3:45 p.m. in Room 121 for any young man interested in playing basketball this upcoming season.

Are you interested in what a military academy is all about and how to get into one? If so, sign up in the Career Center to take part in the Naval Academy presentation here at Logan on Friday, October 17th.

In case you haven’t heard yet, there will be live entertainment at lunch today in Colt Court. Our special guests are none other than the Marine Corps 5-Piece Jazz Band. This promises to be some great jazz.

Boys’ Basketball is hosting open gym every Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Any student interested in community service hours working with the Boys’ Basketball program, please see Coach Fortenberry in Room 121.

Tryouts for Boys’ Basketball will be Nov. 10, 11, 12. Any young man interested must see Coach Fortenberry in Room 121 for important paperwork.

If you missed the wrestling sign-up meeting and want to join the team, go see Coach Bagaoisan in the boys’ P.E. office to get the necessary paper work.

CLUBS
Are you interested in anime and Japanese culture? Come to Japanime Club on Mondays in Room 210. New members are always welcome.

G.S.A. meets today in Room 52 after school.

Yearbook pictures for Sikh Forum will be taken on Friday, October 10, 2008. Members please come to Room 442 immediately after school.

SENIORS
The Grad Trip deposit of $100 and application is due by this Friday, October 10th. This is the final deadline to reserve your spot. Come to the Student Activities Center, Room 67, during lunch or after school.

Seniors: The deadline to take your Senior portraits is next week. If you still haven’t taken your picture, call Prestige at (510) 372-1525 ASAP to make an appointment.
