As a former member of boy group B2K, Omarion didn't inspire fans to have much confidence in his achieving success as a solo act. However, his album The Ollusion exceeds many fans’ low expectations.

Generally the tone of the album is upbeat, making it enjoyable to listen to, despite the utilization of auto-tune in many of the songs. Some beats within the album are not as strong as others, but many of the songs have meaning and add interest to the album.

Songs such as “Speedin’” and “Temptation” diverge from the explicit nature of today’s music and give The Ollusion substance that most contemporary music lacks.
