School pictures are now in! Please pick them up from the main office windows during lunch.

Students and Staff: Smile! Picture makeup day is tomorrow. Students, if you still haven’t taken your official school I.D. picture, please come to the Pavilion lobby when you receive a pass. For students who still need to take your school picture for the yearbook, or want to make a new purchase of school pictures, please come in during your lunch. Staff, please come take your pictures anytime up through 6th period.

This Thursday, Oct. 6th from 12 pm to 12 am is the University of California System Day on the College Week Live website. You’ll be able to connect live with all 9 UC campus admissions officers. For more info on this and other College Day events log onto CollegeWeekLive.com or pick up a flier in the Career Center.

DeVry University will be offering their FREE SAT Review Workshop in time for the November and December test dates. Pick up a flyer in the Career Center, or look online under workshops on Logan’s website.

The Cross Country team members are selling discount cards. Look for a person wearing a Cross Country shirt and help them out.

PSAT ticket sales have been extended to Oct. 10th, and PACT ticket sales until Nov. 7th. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the ticket window in the main office.

Universities are continuing to schedule presentation dates here on our campus. It doesn’t get any more convenient than this to find out about a specific school. For the calendar of universities’ visits, go to the James Logan web site and click on college visits under the college and career center link. This week’s visits are Cal Poly SLO and USC. Next week is Mills and Santa Barbara.

ACTIVITIES

If you are interested in joining the Wrestling Team but missed the sign-up meeting, you can see Coach Bagaoisan in the Boys P.E. Office, or in the weight room after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the paperwork.

CLUBS

Come to the Youth Alive Christian Club today after school in Room 418.

Interested in learning about Latino culture, getting community service, making new friends? Join M.E.Ch.A. Meetings are every Tuesday after school in Room 407.

Come join the JLHS Praise Dance Group in Room 529 after school starting Oct. 11 from 3:35 to 4:30 p.m. See Ms. Allen for more information.

Soak up knowledge about ocean life! Come to the Ocean Science Club meeting after school today in Room 317. See Ms. Childers for more info.

Sikh Forum meets on Wednesday, Oct. 5 after school in Room 442. We will plan our activities for the year and office bearers.
